The Dayton Audio CFC180-8's woven carbon fiber cone provides a stiff, lightweight diaphragm that resists unwanted flexing. A 25 mm 4-layer voice coil wound on an aluminum former handles up to 40 watts RMS. The raised pole piece creates a more symmetrical magnetic field around the voice coil, helping maintain consistent motor force throughout its travel. A vented pole piece increases airflow through the motor for improved cooling and reduced power compression during extended use.

Extended Range for Easy 2-Way Integration

With response extending down to 45 Hz, the CFC180-8 provides useful bass capability for compact speaker systems. A low-loss rubber surround and large-diameter flat spider provide stable suspension and smooth cone travel through its 4 mm Xmax. The poly dust cap adds damping to help control unwanted resonances.

Its extended response to 6,000 Hz gives designers plenty of flexibility when pairing the CFC180-8 with a tweeter in a compact 2-way system.
