The Dayton Audio CFC150-8's woven carbon fiber cone provides a stiff, lightweight diaphragm that resists unwanted flexing. This helps preserve detail throughout the woofer’s operating range. Its distinctive woven finish also gives this compact woofer a premium appearance that stands out well beyond its price.

A 25 mm 2-layer voice coil wound on an aluminum former handles up to 40 watts RMS. The raised pole piece creates a more symmetrical magnetic field around the voice coil, helping maintain consistent motor force throughout its travel. A vented pole piece increases airflow through the motor for improved cooling and reduced power compression during extended use.

Smooth Excursion with Versatile Mounting Options

With 3.5 mm of Xmax and extension down to 50 Hz, the CFC150-8 provides useful bass capability for its size. A low-loss rubber surround and large-diameter flat spider provide stable suspension and smooth cone travel. The poly dust cap adds damping to help control unwanted resonances.

Its response extending to 7,000 Hz gives designers plenty of flexibility when pairing the CFC150-8 with a tweeter in a compact 2-way system. The stamped steel frame features a low-profile mounting flange suitable for either flush or surface mounting. Its 8Ω impedance also provides added flexibility for single- and multiple-driver speaker configurations.
