Aluminum cone woofers are made with rubber surround, flat spider, and special composite dustcap. The cosmetic stamped steel frame provides a very high-class and professional look to your next speaker design. The aluminum cone offers a flat frequency response in the passband region with very low distortion.

Infinite Baffle Subwoofers

Available Models:
 Model # Size List Price
 • IB385-8 15" $139.99

The Dayton Loudspeaker IB series subwoofers are designed to produce extremely low, clean, uncolored bass in infinite baffle situations. Ideally, the subwoofers are situated between the listening room and an attic, basement, or garage using the floor, ceiling, or walls to separate the front and rear sound waves. Benefits of the infinite baffle approach include extreme low-frequency output, very clean and distortion-free sound, lack of large enclosures within the room, and amazingly loud bass with modest power amplifiers. Combining high sensitivity, good mechanical damping, and excellent excursion capabilities, the IB series subwoofers are the only drivers on the market designed specifically for infinite baffle situations.

Planar Tweeter

Available Models:
 Model # List Price
 • PT2C-8 $59.99

The Pt2 features a large membrane and radiating area, providing higher power handling and a substantially lower cut off frequency. The membrane is thermally attached to a cast aluminum plate providing cooling and dramatically increasing dynamic range. The flared waveguide provides wide horizontal dispersion producing an excellent off axis response. At the same time, limiting vertical dispersion, which reduces disturbing floor and ceiling reflections. Perfect for "Line Array" applications. Recommended second order crossover cut-off frequency, 3 kHz or higher. The crossover frequency can be lowered to 2,500 Hz if a 3rd order crossover is used.

PT2B-8 Planar Tweeter Specifications
  • Power handling: 80 watts RMS/115 watts max

These versatile tweeters were conceived with line array thoughts in mind, it is finally possible to achieve the inter-driver spacing needed to minimize comb filtering out to nearly 20 kHz. But their uses don't stop at line arrays-- they has the sensitivity, smoothness, and power handling to individually do a two-way with most small woofers. Or, use it in an A-pillar in your car as a great inexpensive component tweeter.
