DTA-1W Wireless Amplifier System

Dayton Audio cuts the cord holding your stereo system back with the DTA-1W wireless amplifier system. Built upon the tried-and-true Class T amplifier design found in the DTA-1, this system exhibits the same high-fidelity, tube-like audio quality that audiophiles have come to love while remaining compact. True stereo sound is sent from the DTA-1T transmitter unit to the DTA-1AR amplifier/receiver via 2.4 GHz for up to 20 meters (66 ft.) of line-of-sight range while maintaining 20-20,000 Hz (-3 dB) frequency response. Rear mounted spring-loaded terminals on the DTA-1AR make speaker connection quick and easy. Both the transmitter and amplifier/receiver can be optionally powered off 8 AA batteries each unit for true wireless operation.

Includes two 6 in. 3.5 mm coiled male-to-male cables for making connections to iPods, MP3 players, PCs, portable CD or DVD players, and smartphones. Two power supplies are included: a 12 VDC power supply for the DTA1-AR and a 9 VDC power supply for the DTA-1T.

Setting volume: Both the DTA-1T transmitter and the DTA-1AR amplifier/receiver feature volume controls for controlling volume remotely (at the transmitter) or locally (at the amplifier/receiver). To set the initial volume, it is best to turn the source device's volume up all the way, set the DTA-1T volume control to 3 o'clock, and set the DTA-1AR volume control to a position that provides the loudest sound that is free of distortion. This is the system maximum volume. System volume may now be set to your desired output using either the DTA-1T or DTA-1AR volume control.
